A foreign policy
Raymond DE SAINTE-SUZANNE
Between November 1938 and June 1940, Sainte-Suzanne was in the service of the Secretary-General at the Quai d’Orsay (French Foreign Office). These notes taken at the time of the events, completely rough, give this journal an invaluable perspective on a secret place of power, relatively unknown to the general public. It covers the period when the Quai d’Orsay played a fundamental and more than ambiguous role – notably during the signing of the Munich Accords (Mussolini, Hitler, Chamberlain and Daladier sign an agreement on the status of Czechoslovakia) – in world history.
