Karim Miske was born in 1964 in Abidjan to a Mauritanian father and a French mother. He grew up in Paris before leaving to study journalism in Dakar. Back in France, he has been making documentary films for twenty years on subjects as diverse as bioethics, Jewish neo-fundamentalism, Christian and Muslim, and deafness (for which he learns sign language).
His films are broadcast on Arte, France 2, Canal +, Channel Four and many other television channels around the world.
From 2010, he writes several forums on the racialization of the French society for Rue 89 and Le Monde.
