Born in 1938, Pierre Skira is a pastel painter. He is the son of Albert Skira, the founder, in 1928, of the publishing house of the same name. The collection Le Promeneur devoted an entire book to Pierre Skira in which Patrick Mauriès presents the painting. Flammarion have also published another book about him : Tondo, in which Pascal Quignard « interprets » his round-shaped pastels.
